Glenn Hymers, President & CEO
Typically, when we have Board of Directors meetings, we have an evening dinner at one of the local restaurants in Waterloo. At our Board meetings in June, we had finished dinner and began to return to our cars. When we got to the parking lot, one of the Director’s cars had a very flat tire. We considered calling the auto club for assistance, and in fact, we did. However, it was late in the evening and we were unsure whether the auto club would show up. Well, the Directors in their business suits sprung into action and began to replace the tire. It was a warm evening in June, and the Directors — working hard and decoding somewhat mystic instructions of a European made car — were able to jack up the car, inflate the spare tire, and install it. This allowed our once stranded Director to drive home safely. Just a spontaneous demonstration of kindness from our Board of Directors. (P.S. The auto club never did show up.)
